The Hart County Historical Society houses many artifacts that were generously donated by its members and other kind people. The growing museum is always accepting new donations so we encourage you to visit us often. Artifacts about Nancy Hart, the revolutionary war heroine, can be found here along with other interesting items such as a Coca Cola bottling machine, Hart County’s first stereo, and clothing dating back to when Hart County was starting up. Come and learn more about Hart County’s rich past as you explore our museum.
The Museum is co-located with the Hart County Chamber of Commerce in the historic Teasley-Holland House and can be found at 31 East Howell Street in Hartwell, Georgia. If you have difficulty finding us, look for Hartwell’s First Baptist Church. We are next door. Our hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
