For over 25 years the Hart County Historical Society has told the story of Hart County by collecting and preserving artifacts and documents important to our county and by implementing educational programs that promote a better understanding of our history and the people who make it.
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Hart County Historical Society relies upon its members and the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to provide needed support for our programs and operations. Please join us in preserving and sharing Hart County's rich past by making a contribution today.
Membership to the society is built around an annual commitment with standard memberships ranging from $25 to $100. Many of our members choose to give more than the standard membership rate and for that reason we have created four special membership categories which provide special recognition for those who give above the standard membership fees. HOW TO GIVE
The Hart County Historical Society accepts gifts by check, credit card and money order; in the form of securities, life insurance and real estate; as bequests and from qualified retirement plans. Donors may also make a tribute or memorial gift to honor a special person or event. Please note that many companies match charitable gifts made by current employees and retirees; an appropriate form from the employer should accompany a qualifying donor's gift.
Some methods of giving to HCHS may have significant estate planning and tax benefits for the donor. A HCHS representative, along with your financial and legal advisor, can help to structure a gift in the manner most appropriate for your individual or family circumstances. All gifts to the Hart County Historical Society are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
For more information, or to make a donation, please contact the Hart County Historical Society at (706) 376-6330 or via e-mail at email@example.com. All donations made on-line will be directed to HCHS’s Annual Fund.
YOU CAN PLAY A ROLE IN PRESERVING HART COUNTY HISTORY
The Hart County Historical Society has been collecting books, manuscripts, maps, newspapers, photographs, architectural drawings, and artifacts since 1989. Much of HCHS’s collections are the result of donations from individuals, families, and organizations that recognize HCHS as a secure and trustworthy repository for housing and caring for the story of Georgia and the area surrounding Hart County.
We encourage you to consider donating your historical materials to HCHS where they will be preserved so they can inform and inspire future generations.
Before donating materials, please contact the Hart County Historical Society. Our staff will discuss with you our donation options, procedures, and collection development focus.
